White Horse Inn, good food in Exeter

The White Horse Inn lies on the outskirts of Exeter near the village of Woodbury Salterton and has been in the very safe hands of the Ward family for two decades. We have celebrated our twentieth aniversary at the pub with a complete refurbishment which was completed in february of last year.

You will still find consistently good service however along side our deserved reputation and passion for great pub food. We just thought it would be nice to enjoy this in a more comfortable and welcoming bar and dining area that reflects our customers expectations!

The traditional pub menus at the White Horse have always reflected what is fresh, local and seasonal and we like to think that the food takes centre stage. The Steaks and Seafood in particular are very popular as is the selection of well kept real ales or fine wines which can be enjoyed inside or out.

You'll find cosy snuggs and inviting booths to enjoy a glass or two inside and a covered patio area at the rear of the pub too. Beyond that we have ample further seating alongside the children's play area which has always pulled in the crowds in high season. Relax in the sun and let the kids run free close by.....perfect!
